Leading The Merlin Way 2.0 APAC Module 2 - Welcome Back!

Hello Merlin Leaders,

I'm really looking forward to working with you again during the second module of your Leading the Merlin Way 2.0 programme in Bangkok starting on 5th March 2024.

We will continue the journey towards you being an even better leader than ever before and being an exemplar of the Merlin values.

Preparation

Here are a few things to think about ahead of the second training session.

  • Please take a moment to revisit the plans and notes you made and do everything you can to apply the learning and insights from the first training session.

  • What have you applied most successfully since the first session? What has been most successful?

  • Consider what you can do to ensure that you gain even more from the second event than you did from the first? How will you ensure that the experience is even more powerful?

  • Please remember to bring your workbook with you!

I've added our flip charts in the link below for you to review alongside your notes.

Work Based Project Presentations

On the morning of the final day (Thursday 7th March) between 9:00am – 12:00pm we'll be delivering our project presentations in small groups (between 7 - 8 people). You will be split up into three groups/rooms along with the invited guests. Each presentation will last up to 15 minutes. Your invited guests will then give you feedback and ask any questions.

Our invited guest are as follows.

• Susan Ang, Divisional Director

• Ian Wood, Regional Director ANZ

• Qi Zhang, Regional Director China

• Alex Ward, Regional Director ROA

• Brian Wong, Development Director

• Craig Leversha, Finance Director

• Anviti Sangwan, People Director

The overall goal of this presentation is your opportunity to share and update the output of your project with members of the APAC Senior Leadership Team.

Structure for your Work Based Project presentation.

  • Give an overview of the project including your project strategy and its link to Merlin’s 2030 strategy.

  • Review the successes and challenges of your project so far. What have you achieved? Do you have any Return on Investment (ROI) that you have identified?

  • Link your learning from the Leadership programme to how you went about delivering your project (consider your personal influencing and communication skills).

  • What’s next? What are you planning next for your personal development plan.

  • You could also consider specific questions that you want to ask the Senior Leadership team.

I'll be giving you some preparation time to review and discuss your presentations (on day 1 & 2) so there will be plenty of time for you to be ready for the morning of day 3. In terms of format, you can either use flipcharts or PowerPoint or be as creative as you want!
