It was great to meet and work with you all this week in our personality programmes sessions.
Thank you for being so flexible around timing. I am usually a stickler for staying on track time-wise, but I was a little over-ambitious in the number of programmes I tried to explore with you in the time we had. I hope the extra 30 minutes was valuable for you.
Here is the video review of the programmes. You can use this to review and recap on the definitions I shared.
My key message from the session is to be willing to hangout in the preference of the people you want to influence, get the most from or get help from.
This requires three practices that you can start immediately:
Recap on your default preferences. Know yourself first and be especially aware of the programmes that you know are strongest.
Be curious about others. Pay close attention to how others work, speak and think. When you spot that someone has a strong programme preference, especially when it is the opposite of yours, you will be much more able to get the most from the relationship.
Use your knowledge from the first two points to flex your approach to get the most from the relationship and the person.
Practising and applying this knowledge will help you function even better as a team and get even better results with and for your stakeholders. The great thing is that you have a shared set of language that no one else at the club has yet. Hopefully, you have captured a photo of the profile we built for the team yesterday. Make sure you refer to this regularly.

Steve and I are already working on dates for another session in January so I look forward to seeing you then.
