I am really looking forward to spending the day with you next week as we explore gravitas, credibility and impact as an HR community at Parkdean Resorts.
I have designed a different kind of day to what you may have experienced from me before. There will be two key elements:
A community of enquiry exploring what gravitas, influence, impact, credibility and impact look like in an HR team
A simulation where everyone will have the opportunity to demonstrate how they operate when they are at their professional best
As a result of applying your learning and insights from the day, you will:
Operate with even more gravitas and impact in your day-to-day work with internal stakeholders
Have a greater array of tools and techniques to influence and lead your stakeholders at all levels
Have presence and poise, even in the most challenging of situations
In short, you will be able to be the focal point of any group situation but also appreciate that you don't have to be.
My role will be to facilitate the conversations but also create an environment of high challenge and high support.
Here are three things that you can do to prepare to get the most from our day together:
Send me the answers to the following questions:
When it comes to influence, impact, credibility, gravitas and presence, what is your single biggest challenge?
What is your best trait as an HR professional?
What is your key development challenge as an HR professional?
During the simulation, you will present to a challenging group of strategic business experts your view of HR in Parkdean Resorts and how it adds value to the business as we head into the second half of the decade. You will get a more precise brief on the day, but think about key themes that you will focus on and even how you will present yourself
If you have any specific questions ahead of the day, to help you get the most from it, please email me via richard@twentyoneleadership.com.
Logistics
The venue will confirmed over the next couple of days.
The day will start at 09:00 and finish around 15:30.
Bring something to write on and with and your preparation for the day.
Finally, while I usually suggest casual dress, you might want the afternoon's simulation to guide what you wear.
