Bringing Governance To Life

I am really looking forward to working with you during your Bringing Governance to Life workshop on 13th January.

This will be a fast-paced, highly interactive and hugely practical day. There will be no role-plays, no 'death byPowerPoint' and my aimis to make it enjoyable and applicable.

We'll be exploring much more than just governance; we'll be exploring a range of leadership-related areas, from strategy and culture to the foundations of high-performance teams.

Outcomes

By applying your learning and insights from the workshop, you will:

• Have a clear and shared understanding of what governance is, why it matters and how it supports decisions around strategy, culture and customers

• Have a shared understanding of your governance responsibilities as leaders

• Begin to align as a team, using the governance framework, leadership and high-performing team principles as the drivers

• Model the way individually and collectively when it comes to governance – leading the way for the whole organisation to empower and escalate in the right way at the right time

Preparing to get the most from the day

To help us make the most of our time together, there are five questions I would like you to reflect on before the workshop. They are:

• What is governance?

• Why is governance important in an organisation like Ascot?

  What is your individual role in bringing governance to life?

  What is the role of the leadership community as a whole?

• Specifically, how can governance help you in your day-to-day work? (For example, could it save time, repetition, speed up decision making, etc.)

Location: Ascot REL

What to bring and what to wear: Please wear what you will be most comfortable learning in. Most people come to our events in smart-casual dress. Please bring something to write with and on.
